Wedding dress designer Vera Wang and husband Arthur Becker separated

Vera Wang, wedding dress designer to the rich and famous, and her husband 23 years, Arthur Becker, have separated.

A spokesperson for the 63-year-old designer released a statement to the fashion newspaper Women’s Wear Daily saying in part: “Vera Wang and Arthur Becker have mutually and amicably agreed to separate.  They remain devoted parents to their two daughters.”

Becker had taken a serious role in his wife’s multi-million dollar company since leaving Bear Stearns & Co.  It’s unclear whether he will remain with the company.

Wang is said to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
