Recently the only movie theater in Greenwich decided that they were not going to show any more mass-market movies.  Bow Tie Cinemas decided that the way to go in Greenwich is to show upscale independent films.  Now, the only outdoor skating park has decided to charge a fee of $10.00 to local teens to use the skating park.

My seventeen-year-old nephew is always complaining of lack of “fun stuff” to do in Greenwich, and he is right.   To see a movie he MUST drive to either Westchester or Stamford, to go bowling, he MUST drive to either Westchester or Norwalk, to play video games he MUST drive to Westchester.  Now, it seems like teenager MUST drive or have a parent drive them to Stamford to skate at a FREE skate park.   No wonder our teenagers are drinking, we have taken just about everything away from them and the only thing that is left for them to do is to help themselves to our wine and beer that we keep at home.
