Actor Ryan O’Neal was scheduled to be on the “Today” show on Monday to promote his new memoir “Both of Us, My Life with Farrah, but minutes before the interview he canceled his appearance.
According to Radar, Ryan showed up at 30 Rockefeller Center this morning to do the show but during the pre-interview section, Ryan was told that he was going to be asked about his two children, Tatum and Redmond, who have publicly expressed their displeasure about the contents of the book.
Radar said Ryan, who was in make-up during the pre-interview, suddenly told the producer he was not felling well and he was leaving.
Sources said producers were hoping that Ryan would return but after he didn’t, Matt was left to come up with an excuse.
This is what Matt told viewers “We are sad to say Mr. O’Neal showed up here this morning…he was not feeling well. He has since gone back to his hotel, and we are told he is canceling all of his appearance for today, and we hope he is alright and we hope to see him tomorrow morning, her on ‘Today’”.
Apparently, Tatum and Redmond think the memoir is not an honest account of the Ryan’s relationship with everyone. His children allegedly said that he has “self-serving narcissistic tendencies.”
In Ryan’s defense, the 70-year-old actor was recently diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. Maybe he really wasn’t feeling well.
