Who is Gwen Ifill?

Gwen Ifill is the lucky journalist to moderate the VP debate between Senator Joe Biden and Governor Sarah Palin.

Gwen Ifill graduated from Simmons College in 1977, and received over a dozen honorary degrees.  She worked as a journalist for The Boston Herald, Baltimore Evening Sun, The Washington Post, New York Times, NBC, Washington Week in Review and The News Hour with Jim Lehrer.

Gwen serves on the board of The Harvard Institute of Politics, The Committee to Protect Journalists, The museum of Television and Radio and The University of Philip Merrill- College of Journalism.

In 2004 Gwen moderated the VP debate between Dick Cheney and John Edwards.

Is she ready for Sarah and Joe?  Her resume is impressive, but I don’t know, I guess we will find out on Thursday.
