Update: 9/01/09
According to reports, police found Pastor Carol Daniels lying naked behind the altar with her arms outstretched.
Authorities said her clothes were taken from the scene and a dissolving liquid was sprayed around her body.
It is also believed that Daniel’s hair was either singed or burned.
Original story
Authorities in Oklahoma City said that the person who killed a pastor inside her church “staged” the body into an unnatural position after the murder.
Investigators declined to say how the body of 61-year-old Carol Daniels was positioned inside Christ Holy Sanctified Church.
According to local police, an unnamed visitor became concerned after seeing the pastor’s car in the church’s parking lot around noon on Sunday. The visitor tried to open the front door but found it locked.
Authorities said the person then walked to a nearby police station and notified officers, who discovered Daniels’ body.
A convenient store surveillance camera showed the pastor arriving at the small church around 10:00 a.m.
A preliminary autopsy found that Daniels, who traveled 60 miles every Sunday from her home in Oklahoma City to the small Anadarko church, died of multiple sharp force injuries.
Detectives warned pastors in Anadarko on Wednesday to take security precautions at their buildings.
Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThis is a very Sad and Frightening story still over a year later. I’m really confused over the fact that the FBI has not been involved at this point. It’s evident the local police is stumped, Confused, bewildered, perplexed, baffled and all the above in solving this very bizarre case and they are lacking the resources in solving or following up on tips n clues that has been offered in this case like the stabbing death of 61 yr. old Pastor Karen Lee Johnson in Abilene, TX. I would Love for some noise to be made on this case, the town is to small for this case to be unsolved or no suspects apprehended over a year later.
With reference to the comment made by megb, 29 December 2010 @ 10:19, I say the following …
I knew Carol Daniels for many years, and she was a remarkably loving and caring person. She truly exemplified the meaning of, “thinking on the things of others!”
This Case does merit the invite of the FBI with its ability to better scrutinize and intensify the investigation of this most horrific crime. As was stated, this is a relative small community, and I do believe somehow, and in someway, there must be someone that know’s “something” that would lend a clue of sort to help solve this murder.
To the Investigative Authorities, I find it very difficult to believe or even think that you have placed this Case in a “Cold File!”
CONTINUE! CONTINUE! CONTINUE!
And may God bless your (Investigative) efforts.

PS: Carol Daniels came from a wonderful family, and they, as well as the community deserve a measure of closure through justice being metted out and upon the perpertator, monster would be more befitting.
