How about this for perfect timing?

Gabby Douglas’ mother, Natalie Hawkins, filed bankruptcy earlier this year, now Gabby is a multimillionaire.

Court documents show that Hawkins, who filed Chapter 13 in January of this year, has assets totaling $167,706 and debt totaling $79,754, including a $408 Orthodontist bill for her Olympian daughter.

Hawkins has been paying a court appointed trustee $408, which is divided between several creditors, but I am sure that her daughter will take care of that $80,000 debt and maybe even buy her mother a new house.  That being said, I hope she invests her millions WISELY.

Speaking about bankruptcy, Gabby’s mother is not the only Olympian parent to file bankruptcy.

Swimmer Ryan Lochte’s parents Steven and Ileane Lochte are about to have their Florida home foreclosed on.

According to a lawsuit, CitiMortgage claims Steven and Ileane took out a $258,000 mortgage on their Florida home in 2007 and were meant to pay $1,609.58 a month.

However, the Lochte’s allegedly stopped making payments in February 2011 and now owe $242,239 on the home, according to the bank. The bank is now suing to foreclose on the home and get their money back.

I am sure that Ryan, who just won five medals, including two Gold, will be able to help out his parents.
