Woman says George Zimmerman sexually abused her for 10 years

Shocking claims were released today by prosecutors handling the George Zimmerman case which say Zimmerman sexually assaulted a young woman for 10 years.

Identified as witness 9, the alleged victim told prosecutors that Zimmerman, who is two years older than she is, molested her from the age of six until she turned 16.

Some of the documents, which were released by Special Prosecutor Angela Corey, say the alleged victim contacted authorities in Sanford, Florida, after Zimmerman was arrested for killing Trayvon Martin. The woman told officials that Zimmerman began sexually abusing her after her parents moved to another state and left her and her sister in the care of Zimmerman’s family in Virginia.

She said the abuse usually took place while she was watching TV.

The alleged victim said while she was watching TV he would reach under her blanket and put “his hands under my pants, under my underwear……I would try to push him off, but he was bigger and stronger and older.”

She said when she was around 12; Zimmerman forced her to touch his private parts.  She said he ordered her to lay on a bed beside him and began massaging her.  When she felt that he was aroused, she ran from the house.

The document says that victim and her mother later confronted Zimmerman at a restaurant, and he acknowledged the incident and then apologized.

Today, Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, did not acknowledge nor denied the allegations but he did say that the woman’s allegations were “not relevant” to the shooting of Trayvon Martin.

In addition the sexual allegations, the prosecutor also released 120 recorded jail phone calls made by Zimmerman when he was in the Seminole County Jail.
