WWE wrestler William Alvin “Bill” Moody, who was known professionally as Paul Bearer and Percival Pringle III, died this week at age 58.
The wrestler’s death was confirmed by WWE in a released statement which said in part: “WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, AKA Paul Bearer……Our deepest condolences go out to Moody’s family, friends and fans.”
Details surrounding his death are not immediately known but the entertainer had been suffering from many illnesses including morbid obesity.
Moody, who joined the WWE in 1990 playing the role of an undertaker, was predeceased by his wife of 30 years Dianna Moody, who passed away on January 31 2009 from breast cancer.
The couple had two sons, Michael and Daniel. Daniel wrestles on the independent circuit as DJ Pringle.
