One Voice One Mic

Stamford, CT – Youth Voter’s Education, “One Voice, One Mic,” will take place on October 16th, 2008 at University of Connecticut, Stamford on One University Place in Stamford, CT. The event begins at 7:30 pm and runs until 9:00 pm. It is free and open to the public. We greatly encourage all students, both high school and college to attend.

Young adults have increasingly had an impact on the political process. One voice One Mic is essential because it creates an outlet for young adults to convey their feelings political verse. The event will open with an engaging group of panelists consists of a lawyer, a student, a professor, and various political activists that  have a candid dialogue with the audience. “One Voice One Mic” is a great way to raise awareness of educational issues and community involvement amongst the youth.

The partnership between UConn Stamford club, Student Government Association (SGA) and Community leaders, Anthony Harris and Starr Foster hope to promote civic engagement by ensuring the youth that they have a voice.
